The US Department of Justice will file a lawsuit against Google because of its dominance in the advertising market

The US Department of Justice, which also performs the functions of the Prosecutor General’s Office, will file a lawsuit against the American corporation Google because of its dominant position in the Internet advertising market. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to sources.

Google owns an ad-buying service and sells ads to publishers, and also heads a trading exchange where both parties make deals.

According to Bloomberg, three separate lawsuits were previously filed against Google in the United States by state attorneys general. The lawsuits stated that the corporation dominates the markets of online search, advertising technologies and applications on the Android mobile platform, which violates antitrust laws.

At the same time, Google claims that the online advertising market is full. During congressional hearings and in court documents, the company repeatedly drew attention to the fact that such technology giants as Amazon, Microsoft and Meta operate in the United States along with it.

Earlier it became known that about 12 thousand employees were fired from Google at the same time.
